Welcome to the Blue Plains Virtual Plant Tour -- an interactive, user friendly, comprehensive and integrated multimedia tour of DC Water's Advanced Wastewater Treatment Plant (AWTP).
The Blue Plains AWTP is the largest advanced wastewater treatment facility of its type in the world. This tour will leave you with an understanding of the basic processes that happens at the Blue Plains AWTP and serve to provide a unique Blue Plains experience.
This Virtual Plant Tour shows you all aspects of the Wastewater Treatment Process from the time the water enters the plant, to the removal of biosolids, to the eventual discharge of the water. This plant covers all aspects of what is done to make the water safe for the environment again. This tour includes streaming video and other interactive features designed to educate and inform customers while providing a rich, enjoyable experience.
