DESIGN OF BLUE PLAINS INFLUENT SEWERS REHABILITATION
The District of Columbia Water and Sewer Authority requests the submittal of Qualification Statements/Technical Proposals for the performance of professional architectural/engineering and related services to be performed for the design of the rehabilitation of segments of the Blue Plains Influent Sewer System (sometimes called Outfall Sewers) that conveys wastewater to the Blue Plains Advanced Wastewater Treatment Plant. It is anticipated that the selected firm(s) will provide final designs, and services during bidding to enable construction contracts to be procured, as well as construction phase services all as described in the detailed scope of work.
The agreement resulting from this procurement may be funded in part by a grant from the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency. Accordingly, the agreement will be subject to all pertinent Federal requirements. In accordance with these requirements, a Fair Share Objective for Minority and Women’s Business Enterprises participation in this work of 28% and 4%, respectively, has been established. The program requirements are fully defined in the USEPA’s Guidance for Utilization of Small, Minority and Women’s Business Enterprises in Procurement Under Assistance Agreements - 6010, 1997 Edition.
