WATER AND SEWER AUTHORITY REQUEST FOR BIDS INVITATION FOR BID NUMBER: 050030 COMBINED SEWER OVERFLOW (CSO) EVENT INDICATORS The following listing enumerates the major items of work included in this contract for the Combined Sewer Overflow (CSO) Event Indicators, Washington, D.C.: • Pole mounted indicator lights and control panels at the Main and O Street Pumping Stations site and Rock Creek Parkway near Thompson’s Boathouse. • Installation of ultrasonic level indicators, flow meter, and control panel at CSO Diversion Structure No. 9 site (Ridge Road, S.E. and S Street, S.E,) and at CSO Diversion Structure No. 35 site (near the Kennedy Center). The project requires completion within 236 consecutive calendar days. This project is estimated to cost is less than $1,000,000. Bid Opening Date is Thursday, December 13, 2007 at 2:00 P.M. Bid for this project will be procured in the open market with preference given for the utilization of local, small, and disadvantaged business enterprises. The Davis-Bacon wage determinations shall apply. DCWASA Owner Controlled Insurance Program will provide insurance. Bid Documents will be available Tuesday, November 13, 2007 between 9:00 A.M. to 4:00 P.M. at the Department of Procurement, 5000 Overlook Avenue, SW, Washington, DC 20032. Sets of Bidding Documents can be procured for a non-refundable $50 purchase price each, payable to DC Water and Sewer Authority. Payment must be in the form of a money order, certified check or a company check. Documents can be shipped to Bidders providing a Federal Express account number. The DC WASA Blue Plains Advanced Wastewater Treatment Plant is a secured facility.
