WATER AND SEWER AUTHORITY REQUEST FOR ADVERTISEMENT REQUEST FOR PROPOSALS INITIATION NUMBER: 060090PS01 An Open, Cost-Competitive, Evaluated, Equipment Pre-Selection for Various Equipment for use at the Biological Sludge Thickening Facility, Blue Plains Advanced Wastewater Treatment Plant, Washington, D.C. The Authority intends to pre-select one manufacturer to provide equipment, accessories, and other named services for each of the items listed below. After pre-selection is complete, the equipment selected will include in the contract for Biological Sludge Thickening Facility at the Authoritys Advanced Wastewater Treatment Plant at Blue Plains. The various equipment items are as follows: • Rotary Lobe Type Thickened Sludge Pumps; 175 GPM @ 22 FT – 10 HP; 19 Ea. • Horizontal Non-Clog Wastewater Pumps; 3160 GPM @ 55 FT – 60 HP, 3 Ea.; 2118 GPM 36 FT – 25 HP; 3 Ea. • DAF Recycle Pumps; 1500 GPM @ 140 FT – 75 HP; 18 Ea. • Submersible Centrifugal Pumps; 2776 GPM @ 31 FT – 30 HP; 6 Ea. • Power Monitors. • Pressure Sensor Assemblies. • Flotation Thickening Collection Equipment; 18 sets of non-metallic chains and flights. PROPOSAL SUBMITTAL DATE IS WEDNESDAY, JANUARY 23, 2008, AT 2:00 P.M. Pre-selection Documents will be available Monday, December 17, 2007 between 9:00 A.M. to 4:00 P.M. at the Department of Procurement, 5000 Overlook Avenue, SW, Washington, DC 20032. Sets of Pre-selection Documents can be procured for a non-refundable $25 purchase price each, payable to DC Water and Sewer Authority. Payment must be in the form of a money order, certified check or a company check. Documents can be shipped to Bidders providing a Federal Express account number. The DC WASA Blue Plains Advanced Wastewater Treatment Plant is a secured facility.
