Description of Duties:The incumbent works as a team leader to develop formal procedures for Proactive Maintenance Techniques for corrective, preventive and predictive maintenance. Techniques will include vibration analysis, infrared thermography, oil analysis, equipment alignment, and proper equipment rebuild and installation. Serves as the Department’s principle authority leading efforts to establish and enforce performance standards for equipment specifications pertaining to balancing, alignment, parts, material lubricants, and thermography. Collaborates with other WASA entities on formal review of technical specifications for equipment design and installation in support of the Authority’s Capital Improvement Program. Coordinates the review of technical drawings and specifications within department for timely response. Participates in the ongoing development of the Department’s Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) for the purpose of sustaining optimal system functionality. Works closely with subordinates and contemporaries; consisting of professional, technical, supervisory, and trade personnel; to plan, integrate, and accomplish day-to-day activities, departmental goals and new programs. Supervises the activities of subordinates as they pertain to the achievement of program objectives. Utilizes personal computer and maintains a working knowledge of applicable software programs (i.e. word processing, spreadsheets, email, etc.) Performs other related duties and projects as assigned at the discretion of the Manager, Maintenance Systems Administration.
Minimum Qualifications:Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering from an accredited college or university and a minimum of five (5) years experience in a manufacturing/industrial environment with responsibility for maintenance and repair of production equipment with an emphasis on predictive technologies. Requires a minimum of three (3) years supervisory experience. Certification in predictive maintenance technologies preferred. Must possess and maintain a valid Motor Vehicle Operator’s Permit.

  • Incumbent serves as an essential employee, which means that the incumbent is required to work when the Authority has closed due to public emergencies, critical or hazardous conditions, or inclement weather.
  • Incumbent must posses a valid Motor Vehicle Operator's Permit
