Description of Duties:The incumbent plans and directs activities of staff workers concerned with such functions as developing sources of qualified applicants, conducting screening interviews, administering test, checking references and background, evaluating applicants’ qualifications, and arranging for preliminary indoctrination and training for newly hired employees according to policy. Develops and oversees the Authority’s employment services efforts to ensure that these initiatives support the staffing needs of the Authority, developing recruiting networks, sourcing techniques and the interview process. Develops and administers related programs, policies, procedures and controls, build relationships and provide direction and guidance on all employment services related matters. Ensures compliance currency with all relative recruitment/staffing regulations. Provides guidance consultation and staff assistance to management on a variety of employment services matters. Works in concert with managers and supervisors to provide maximum staffing and recruiting services. Issues staffing guidelines to supervisor. Monitors and evaluates the progress of Employment Services Office towards meeting goals and makes adjustments in objectives, work plans schedules and commitment of resources. Ensures that the appropriate staffing technologies are utilized in employment services. Ensures that the appropriate staffing technologies are utilized in employment services. Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned by supervisor.
Minimum Qualifications:Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Human Resources or related field from an accredited college or university and seven (7) years of progressive experience inclusive of three (3) years of supervisory experience. Utilizes personal computer and maintains a working knowledge of applicable software programs (i.e. word processing, emails, HRIS, etc.) Strong analytical, planning and organizational skills. Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills. Incumbent must possess and maintain a valid Motor Vehicle Operator’s Permit.
Other Requirements:
