Description of Duties:in design, established guidelines and procedures to provide continuous safe and effective operation. Manage and provides expertise for all mechanical systems as it pertains to routine preventive and predictive maintenance operational methods and procedures to include, but not limited to, P.M. task development, P.M. program automation, administration and procedures. Ensures that work requests are consistently monitored, performed and closed with established guidelines. Monitors and inspects completed work. Manages and provides expertise and oversight for all mechanical projects, modifications, expansions, replacement and upgrades. Formulates requirements for vendors; reviews designs, drawings, plans, and blueprints. Monitors work in progress and inspects completed work. Coordinates, implements, and monitors mechanical environmental and safety compliance with federal, state, and local regulations. This includes performing assessment/safety audits, project management, fiscal accountability, and policy and procedure development and compliance management. Implements and conducts the hazmat communications program. Analyzes technical documents, reports and materials and formulates appropriate recommendations to senior management. Converts approved recommendations into effective action plans. Interacts with mechanical vendors, contractors, service providers, and professional engineers and architects. Writes statements of work and provides input to RFP’s and review bid responses. When required by the Director, Facilities, acts on his/her behalf. Performs other related duties and projects as assigned at the discretion of the Director, Facilities.
Minimum Qualifications:Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Electrical Engineering from an accredited college or university and five (5) years of progressive experience with commercial office mechanical and/or electrical systems,  inclusive of three (3) years of supervisory experience. Utilizes personal computer and maintains working knowledge of applicable software programs (i.e. word processing, spreadsheets, e-mail, etc.).
Other Requirements:
  • In the event that an offer is extended, the candidate will be required to successfully complete a pre-employment physical examination and drug screening.
  • Incumbent serves as an essential employee, which means that the incumbent is required to work when the Authority has closed due to public emergencies, critical or hazardous conditions, or inclement weather.
  • Incumbent must posses a valid Motor Vehicle Operator's permit and may be required to obtain an Authority permit to operate a motor vehicle
