Formulates requirements for vendors; reviews designs, drawings, plans and blueprints. Monitors work in progress and inspects completed work. Analyzes technical documents, reports and materials, and formulates appropriate recommendations to senior management. Converts approved recommendations into effective action plans. Interacts with vendors, contractors, service providers, and professional engineers and architects. Writes statements of work and provides input to RFP’s and review bid responses. Assists in the development of the department’s operating and capital budgets. Develops and implements policy and procedures for all aspects of facility services. Develops and implements a comprehensive preventive maintenance program. Builds and maintains effective partnerships with other service providers. Oversees the coordination and implementation of all building moves. Performs building inspections and facility audit reviews. Ensures the adherence to safety, care of equipment and conduct, rules, regulations and procedures. Monitors and evaluates the progress of the Branch towards meeting goals and makes adjustments in objectives, work plans, schedules, and commitment of resources. Provides daily planning and administration in the selection, assignment, supervision, promotion, discipline, and training of personnel within the Branch. Performs other related duties and projects as assigned at the discretion of the Director, Facilities. | | Minimum Qualifications: | Bachelor’s Degree in Architecture, Business Management, Engineering or related filed form an accredited college or university and five (5) years of current Mechanical Engineering or Electrical Engineering from an accredited college or university and five (5) years of current and progressive experience associated with a facilities environment, inclusive of three (3) years supervisory experience. Utilizes personal computer and maintains working knowledge of applicable software programs (i.e. word processing, spreadsheets, e-mail, etc.). | | Other Requirements: | - In the event that an offer is extended, the candidate will be required to successfully complete a pre-employment physical examination and drug screening.
