Water Main Shut Down Tonight
Emergency Air Valve Replacement
Sep 22, 2004 -- The District of Columbia Water and Sewer Authority (WASA) will once again take a water main out of service this evening, Thursday, September 23, 2004, for an emergency air valve replacement.  

Crews will begin installing a new air valve at 17th and R Streets, N.W. beginning at 12 midnight tonight and are expected to be finished Friday, September 24 by  6:00 a.m.

The affected area is 17th Street, NW between Q and Church Streets, NW and T Street NW between New Hampshire Aveune and Swan Street.  Residents may experience low water pressure while the repair is taking place.
