Anacostia First Main Replacement

As part of DC WASA's Capital Improvement Program this project will replace the existing 12-inch and smaller diameter water mains at various locations in Ward 8, as shown in the location map in the project fact sheet (PDF 1.1 mb) . Replacement of these old, deteriorated mains will improve the water distribution system.

DC WASA Work Scope Will Include

Installation of 5,904 linear feet of 12-inch, 25,476 linear feet of 8-inch and 1,669 linear feet of 6-inch diameter water mains, gate valves, fire hydrants, water service replacements and connections, and roadway restoration.
