DC Water has hundreds of contracts in place for construction, engineering, and goods and services. Our Capital Improvement Program addresses infrastructure repairs, modernization of facilities and processes for treating and transporting biosolids, and limiting sewer overflows.
Construction, architecture and engineering contracts range from several thousand to several hundred million dollars for projects related to maintenance, repair and upgrades to the plant as well as for projects involving sewage, stormwater, water storage and water distribution systems. The contracts range from design work to sewer cleaning and lining to eliminating dead-ends, repair and replacement of water mains, fire hydrants, valves, cleaning and lining sedimentation basins, treating and transporting biosolids, and various electrical projects.
DC Water has contracts for goods and services as well as purchase orders worth over two hundred million dollars. These contracts range from various water and wastewater treatment chemicals, plant equipment and maintenance parts, industrial supplies and equipment, various types of pipes, all types of professional services (management, IT, legal, financial, etc.), media, fleet vehicles and parts, marine equipment, catering, facility services, IT hardware and software, telecommunication services, office supplies, security service, uniforms, and utility services. DC Water is moving to the cloud on October 1, 2020. In conducting a thorough solicitation, DC Water selected Oracle Cloud as its new Enterprise Resource Plan (ERP). In preparing for the technology upgrade, DC Water will not renew our subscription to the Zycus Supplier Network (supplier portal). The Zycus portal link has been removed from www.dcwater.com.
DC Water will continue to use our web-based supplier portal to register suppliers and post solicitations. You can access the portal at: https://vendor.dcwater.com
